Colorado State Registered Dietitian and Dietetic Technician Requirements
The state requirements for a Registered Dietitian in Colorado are as follows:

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in nutritional science or a related field from an accredited program,
- All candidates must complete an internship or professional experience that has been approved by the ADA or CDA prior to its start.
- All candidates must pass the national registration exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency for the ADA.
The Colorado Dietetic Association has five district association affiliates for Nutritionists and Dietitians working throughout the state. Those interested in a career in Nutrition in the state of Colorado are encouraged to contact the CDA chapter in their area. Chapters include:
