Those wishing to become a Registered Dietitian in Kentucky must complete the following criteria as stated by the Kentucky Dietetic Association:
- Complete a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university that includes course work approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (CADE), the credentialing agency of the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
- Pursue an accredited internship approved by CADE. Students genery apply to these programs during their last year of school and complete the program after graduation.
- Finally, applicants must pass a national exam required by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the ADA.
